In Loving Memory
Norma L. Salmans
Ps. 92:12-15 Thought/Prayer: A True Saint Gone Home.
Written by one of Norma’s special friends…..
“The righteous shall shoot forth like a palm-tree; he shall grow like a cedar on Lebanon. Those that are planted in the house of Jehovah shall flourish in the courts of our God: They are still vigorous in old age, they are full of sap and green; To shew that Jehovah is upright: [he is] my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.”
A true saint in the Lord left us Tuesday April 3, 2012. She was beautiful inside and out, especially at beyond 80. She made each one of us feel that we were the most special person at any given moment in her presence. Especially known to me, was the special favor she lived toward her grandsons living in her town. She supplied special favor to one of our grandsons, the friend of one of hers. Her passing was sudden and quiet. We say it’s the way to go to Heaven, just in one’s sleep. But the rest of us – very very difficult. For someone so vital and vitally involved in family, church and friends, it is most difficult – both to absorb, and to try to rearrange life into some new type. We don’t want to do that at all. This dear lady was green until the last, putting forth shoots of love and service and special-ness, as we have said. We don’t want her to have gone.
It is this type of person who has so often made Christianity what it is: beautiful. She is making a beautiful difference in Heaven and has been since the moment she arrived Tuesday early-morning. Whatever her interests and services here on Earth, we know she must have influenced some toward LIFE just from conversations and sharing from her own life.
Lord, we don’t understand. But we trust. And we hang on. This true saint’s family will get through it and will praise you for giving her to them for as long as she had. Lord, help them to see Your purpose in her sudden home-going. And help all who knew and loved her be resolved to honor her name by loving those who may stand on the other side of LIFE issues, to bring them close to you, so more saintly Jesus-followers may be beautiful too.
She was welcomed in to Jesus’ arms, and is now dancing up and down the streets of gold. Norma has received her beautiful crown. We here that are left can only imagine.
We cannot begin to tell you how much we miss her. We celebrated Norma Lee Salmans home going Saturday 4/7/12 at 10:30 in Kingman Kansas at Livingston Mortuary. We will never stop celebrating her life here as she loved us all, unconditionally.
